Terms of use
Last updated · 21 May 2026
These terms govern your use of WatchLogR. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1 · About the service
WatchLogR is a private digital archive for watch collectors. You can record ownership, provenance, service history, documents and related details in a private account that only you can see.
WatchLogR is not a marketplace, an auction house, an authentication service, or a valuation service. It is a place to keep records.
2 · Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use WatchLogR.
3 · Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for everything done under your account. Notify us at support@watchlogr.com as soon as you suspect unauthorised access.
4 · Your records
You retain all rights to the records, documents and images you upload. You grant WatchLogR a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, transmit, back up and display your records back to you for the sole purpose of operating the service. We do not use your records for any other purpose, and we never grant third parties access to them without your explicit instruction.
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you upload. WatchLogR records what you record; it does not verify it.
5 · No guarantee of valuation, authenticity or ownership
WatchLogR is a record-keeping service. We do not:
- Value any watch — figures you enter are your own estimates or third-party valuations you have chosen to upload
- Authenticate any watch, document, signature, or service record
- Adjudicate ownership — entering a watch in your archive does not establish legal title
Records held in WatchLogR may support a future valuation, authentication or ownership claim, but they do not constitute one.
6 · Acceptable use
You may not upload, transmit or attempt to record:
- Content you do not have the right to share
- Forged documents or fabricated provenance
- Material that infringes another person’s intellectual property
- Content relating to stolen property, except where you are the lawful owner recording the theft for your own records
- Malware, automated abuse, or anything intended to disrupt the service or another user’s account
- Personal data about third parties without their knowledge (for example, naming a previous owner without basis)
Misuse may result in suspension or termination of your account. Where required by law, we may report misuse to the appropriate authority.
7 · Availability and changes
We aim to keep WatchLogR available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, improve, change or temporarily suspend parts of the service to maintain or develop it. Where a change materially reduces functionality you rely on, we will give you reasonable notice.
8 · Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WatchLogR is not liable for:
- Losses that are not reasonably foreseeable at the time you accept these terms
- Loss of profit, revenue, business opportunity, or anticipated savings
- Indirect or consequential losses
- Losses arising from incorrect or incomplete records you have uploaded
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under English law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
If WatchLogR is found liable to you in respect of the service, our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us during that period, or (b) £100.
9 · Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time. On closure, your records will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Notice.
We may suspend or terminate your account where you materially breach these terms, where required by law, or where continued use would put the integrity of the archive at risk. Where possible we will give you notice and an opportunity to address the issue first.
10 · Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms. We will update the date above and, for material changes, contact you directly.
11 · Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
